But the story began
before the photograph.

Before the Shabazz–Murray era entered the published record, LaRonz Murray had already developed a public creative practice across voice, poetry, independent publishing, performance, cultural entrepreneurship and the body as art. One discipline generated the next.

03B / THEORETICAL LENSES

THREE DISTINCT LEVELS OF THE METHOD

The archive becomes form.
Form becomes permanence.

These terms name related but separate methods: the governing theory, the gesture-to-object practice and the three-stage material framework.

01 / GOVERNING THEORY

Reverse Monument Practice™

A conceptual methodology that reverses the traditional timeline of memorialization. Rather than reconstructing a life from detached memory, the proposed monument begins with a pre-existing, credited and verifiable cultural record.

EXHIBITION NOTES +

The practice charts how a transient street-level record may develop into physical form for future museum, collection or public-art contexts. Proposed placement follows the Drama & Flava archival chapter because the photograph supplies the documentary anchor.

02 / ARTISTIC METHOD

Reverse Sculpture Practice™

A specific artistic method in which choreography, posture and fleeting cultural gestures are studied, frozen and translated into sculptural objects.

BUSINESS CREATIVES UNIVERSITY™

BCU — Business Creatives University logo
THE EDUCATIONAL ARM OF THE LIVING ARCHIVE

THE ARCHIVE BECOMES TEACHABLE

Creativity is not only expressed.
It is directed.

Codifying the translation of creative intellectual property across multidisciplinary, commercial and institutional formats through the 3-D’s™ System. Teaching text, applied examples and StoryScore™ educational music operate together—turning the archive into an active learning environment.

TEXT 01 / TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Business Creative Master Class

Do not separate the creative mind from the business mind. Train them to operate together.

Creative identity becomes useful leverage when it can be named, directed, tested and placed into motion.

TEXT 02 / WORKING METHODOLOGY

The Methodology of the 3-D’s™

Distinguish the difference. Determine the direction. Deploy the idea.

A musical, visual and practical operating system for the Business Creative—developed from LaRonz Murray’s lived creative practice.

METHODOLOGY TRANSCRIPT 001 / BUSINESS CREATIVE MASTER CLASS

BALANCING THE
CREATIVE + BUSINESS MIND

A Business Creative must understand the difference between creating the work and building the conditions that allow it to move.

The creative mind imagines, experiments and produces. The business mind organizes, positions, protects and deploys. These two ways of thinking are connected, but they do not always require the same environment, schedule or type of attention.

Separate the questions to create clarity.
Reconnect the answers to create motion.
FIELD APPLICATION / 5-DAY OBSERVATIONOPEN THE PRACTICE NOTES +

Over five days, complete one focused creative activity and one business-building activity each day. Record the activity, location and time devoted to each task. Change locations for selected tasks and observe where the two mind frames strengthen—or interrupt—one another.

Activities may include appropriate steps from How to Properly Set Up Your Business—Especially for Creatives™, supported by real-life case studies and related assignments.

FIVE-DAY OUTCOME

Evidence of how you create, how you conduct business and what structure allows both minds to operate effectively.

FROM INTENTIONAL SEPARATION TO COORDINATED ACTION

The creative mind produces the idea. The business mind determines how the idea will be positioned, structured and moved into the world. The 3-D’s™ provides the bridge between them.

WHAT DOES THE WORK NEED CREATIVELY?WHAT DOES THE WORK NEED COMMERCIALLY?

Identify the cultural period, lived access, creative disciplines and documented records that no other founder can combine in precisely the same way.

CASE STUDY / LIVING ARCHIVE

CASE STUDY / LIVING ARCHIVE

Murray deployed the archive through connected sites, StoryScores™, films, sculptural studies and teaching structures—converting historical assets into new work without surrendering provenance.

PUT THIS D INTO PRACTICE +

What is the smallest visible action you can complete today—not someday—that produces evidence of motion?

The 3-D’s™ is an authored Business Creatives University™ methodology by LaRonz Murray. StoryScore™ EDU translates each principle into a musical teaching experience.

DEMONSTRATED TEACHING PRACTICE

THE METHODOLOGY IS
ALREADY BEING TAUGHT

Business Creatives University™ is not a theoretical educational concept.

LaRonz Murray has taught—and continues to teach—young creatives how to distinguish between their creative and business minds, determine a meaningful North Star and deploy actions that move their ideas forward.

The lessons presented inside this archive allow visitors to begin applying the Methodology of the 3-D’s today.

The next phase of BCU will expand this demonstrated teaching practice into a structured learning environment containing methodology transcripts, field applications, case studies and guided educational resources.

14 / WHY NOW

A LIVING METHODOLOGY

LEGACY IN REAL TIME™

Why should a major cultural figure have to become historical before receiving historical treatment?

Don’t wait until someone is gone to understand what their life meant. Build alongside them.

Legacy Infrastructure™ begins while the artist is still here—able to speak, correct, interpret, question and continue creating. It does not wait for a life to end before organizing what that life has meant. It connects evidence, memory, sound, artifact, education and future work within one evolving cultural record.

THE FORMA cinematic, interactive living archive—and an evolving digital cultural institution.

15 / FOUNDER’S PROOF

THE CULTURAL WILL™ / EDITION 001

I will not leave history
without instructions.

A Cultural Will™ is a creator-directed record of what the work meant, how its evidence connects, how it should be interpreted and how the cultural responsibility should continue.

“Other people may write about my life. This archive ensures they cannot say I left no record of how I understood it.”

LaRonz Murray / Founder’s Cultural Directive / Living Document
01 / DOCUMENT

Begin before the photograph.

My public creative life did not begin when the camera found me. Preserve the full trajectory: voice, songwriting, poetry, independent publishing, Herald Square, performance, modeling, visual art, curating, education and the systems one discipline generated from the next.

02 / VERIFY

Attach the claim to its evidence.

Connect memory to dated photographs, publications, garments, recordings, exhibitions, institutional records and firsthand testimony. Use LaRonz Murray PressInfo for public verification and The Murray Records for deeper provenance and authorship.

03 / INTERPRET

Preserve what it meant—not only what it showed.

The Shabazz–Murray photographs document a defining chapter; they do not manufacture the life that preceded them. The red velour is not merely wardrobe. It is a recurring living artifact connecting self-presentation, New York fashion history, museum visibility, film, sound and future sculpture.

04 / ACTIVATE

Let the archive continue creating.

My archive may speak through StoryScore™, film, exhibition, sculpture, education, performance and new cultural systems. New forms should deepen the source record, clearly distinguish evidence from interpretation and never erase original credits.

05 / GOVERN

Keep authorship visible.

Preserve the difference between primary evidence, first-person memory, artistic interpretation and digitally realized production. Credit every source and collaborator. Do not separate a work from the context that gives it cultural meaning.

06 / TRANSFER

Pass forward responsibility—not just files.

Future stewards should inherit chronology, provenance, recorded voice, permissions and interpretive intent alongside the objects themselves. The purpose is not to freeze my legacy. It is to protect its foundation while allowing the living record to grow.

THE ACTIVE LAYER

Social media carries the present.

Immediate, conversational and responsive—the public record while life and work continue.

THE PERMANENT LAYER

The Living Archive carries it forward.

Connected, verified and creator-directed—the historical record built before memory becomes unavailable.

WHAT IF AN ARCHIVE COULD

speak, sing, teach
and continue creating?
